The YKI writing test

The writing section asks you to produce real messages: an email, a message to a neighbour, an opinion. Examiners grade grammar, vocabulary and whether you completed the task.
What the writing section looks like

- Everyday, practical scenarios (messages, requests, opinions).
- Each task has a target length and specific points to cover.
How to prepare
- Cover every point the task asks for. Examiners check this directly.
- Use varied but accurate structures rather than risky complex ones.
- Practice with feedback so you stop repeating the same mistakes.
